Legal Notice & Equipment Disclaimer

IMPORTANT NOTICE: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE PURCHASING OR INSTALLING ANY PRODUCTS.

By purchasing equipment or complete plug-in solar kits from Abundance Solar ("Company"), you explicitly acknowledge, understand, and agree to the legal terms, electrical compliance parameters, and installation requirements set forth below.

1. Professional Installation & Code Compliance

  • Local Electrical & Building Codes: Photovoltaic (PV) solar panels, microinverters, battery systems, and associated electrical hardware must be installed in strict compliance with all applicable National Electrical Code (NEC) standards, local building codes, and municipal zoning regulations.

  • Licensed Electrician Recommendation: While certain low-voltage or plug-in solar kits are designed for simplified connection, Abundance Solar strongly advises that all wiring, grid interconnections, main breaker connections, and system commissioning be performed or reviewed by a qualified, licensed electrical contractor.

  • Interconnection Agreements: Purchasers are solely responsible for determining whether their utility provider permits grid-tied or plug-in solar equipment and for securing any necessary Interconnection Agreements, Net Metering permits, or local utility approvals prior to energizing the system.

2. Assumption of Risk & Limitation of Liability

  • Electrical Safety Hazard: Solar equipment generates high-voltage direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) electricity when exposed to sunlight or energized. Improper installation, grounding, bonding, wire sizing, or handling of equipment can cause severe physical injury, electric shock, electrocution, arc flash, property damage, or fire.

  • No Assumption of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Abundance Solar disclaims all liability for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of the improper assembly, installation, maintenance, modification, or operation of any purchased product or kit.

  • User Responsibility: The customer assumes 100% of all risks, financial costs, and legal obligations associated with the installation, structural mounting, wind loading, and electrical operation of the purchased items.

3. Product Modifications & Structural Mounting

  • Ballast & Uplift Compliance: Customers using non-penetrating or ballasted mounting systems assume full responsibility for calculating and placing the proper weight (concrete ballast, dead loads) required to meet local wind-uplift, snow-load, and seismic requirements.

  • Unauthorized Alterations: Any modification, physical alteration, or unintended re-engineering of solar panels, microinverters, racking, or ballast structures voids manufacturer warranties and immediately waives any claims against Abundance Solar.

4. Freight Delivery & Damage Disclaimer

  • Mandatory Delivery Inspection: Solar panels larger than 400W and heavy equipment kits are shipped via Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) freight carriers. It is the customer’s responsibility to thoroughly inspect all pallets, frame edges, glass surfaces, and cartons for shipping damage prior to signing the Bill of Lading (BOL).

  • Waived Claims: Signing the carrier’s Bill of Lading without explicitly noting damage constitutes full acceptance of the delivery in good condition, waiving the ability to file a transit damage claim against Abundance Solar or the carrier.

5. Disclaimer of Technical & Engineering Advice

  • Any informational materials, wiring diagrams, sizing calculators, or assistance provided on this website or by customer support agents are provided strictly for educational and illustrative purposes only.

  • Advice or information provided by Abundance Solar does not constitute formal engineering design, certified electrical schematics, or professional consulting services. Customers must independently verify system compatibility and site suitability with a licensed professional.
